Further communication concerns discussed are the composition of messages, the integration of information and the role of the environment. 1 Factors Which Play a Significant Role in the Interpretation of a Message A message is a single formal communication that requires the interpretation of the entity that is involved in its reception. The process of communication is identified by Russell and Norvig as one which involves: intention; generation; synthesis; perception (of the message as a communication unit); analysis; disambiguation and incorporation .
The consistency between the topology and the geological interpretations needs to be checked both locally (among all the interpretations related to one surface) and globally (among all the interpretations related to different surfaces). Therefore, the work defined to validate and to update the geological description of a full structural earth model is actually to validate, to update and to integrate the geological interpretations related to each constituent surface. In this sense, the entities in question are actually the surfaces.
The solution of the problem is the direct consequence of this stable organization. Such reactive approach has been applied to resolve complex problems as , , . Its simplicity allows solving complex problems without predicting an overall strategy. In this principle, we propose to associate an agent to one geological surface in a structural earth model. Each agent tries to maintain its surface's coherent geological interpretations. For efficiently achieving its tasks, it is built to be cognitive.
